It was a joke. For dirt that used to have grass, rather than watching it grow ('tis boring), I simply replaced it with grass block when I could. Not sure about trees. |
14:23 |

Well, trees can grow by Lua if you are admin/server priv, but I thought about if one of my players can manage that. I mean, the really vast underground is one of the greatest strength of Minetest. |
14:23 |

You can actually build your own Kaer with it. |

Well, the normal behavior of a pressure pad is: you step on it, the signal opens, you leave it, it closes. So if you step on the pad the door stays open. But of course, you could have a second pad on the other side to close it, yes. But… you can argue about that, but… |

kurtzmusch |

18:39 |
p_gimeno |
kurtzmusch: no, but I've contributed issue reports and I was close to providing a PR, why? |
18:40 |
kurtzmusch |
i think i saw a repo on your profile there |
18:40 |
p_gimeno |
yeah, a fork, it's how you submit PRs :) |
18:40 |
kurtzmusch |
but i dont understnad when people are part of a project or just forked it |
18:40 |
kurtzmusch |
huuum |
18:41 |
kurtzmusch |
this is a diferent type of contribution than pushing directly into the master branch? |
18:41 |
p_gimeno |
yes, totally |
18:41 |
kurtzmusch |
is pull request same as merge merge a branch? |
18:42 |
kurtzmusch |
sorry im git newb |
18:42 |
Krock |
usually you fork it to propose changes/pull requests |
18:42 |
kurtzmusch |
huum |
18:42 |
Krock |
pull requests are to be merged or rebase&pushed to the destination (master) branch |
18:42 |
kurtzmusch |
i thought fork was more of a rebranding thing |
18:42 |
kurtzmusch |
where you develop something new from that base code |
18:42 |
Krock |
generally spoken: to apply your changes to the official repository |
18:43 |
p_gimeno |
kurtzmusch: https://yangsu.github.io/pull-request-tutorial/ explains some basics |
18:43 |
Krock |
well, it can also be used to rebrand so you can still get updates from the main/official repository |
18:43 |
Krock |
well yeah. a website will most likely explain it better than I do |
18:43 |
kurtzmusch |

As we "always"? need default game's mods to create games, shouldn't them be released as a modpack, so we easyly fork them, and not the whole default game, and using them as submodules ? |

Hey Wuzzy. If you're still here. There's a weird difference between the 2 bed recipes in Hades. Fancy bed wants red wool but simple bed uses the new all white wool recipe. |
23:10 |
Wuzzy |
thats intentional |
23:10 |
Wuzzy |
because white wool is cheaper |
23:10 |
Emerald2 |
Much much in Hades. |

They both have the same functionality though, the beds. |
