let me give you some background first, I am a teacher and I did have my server up and running last year.....using port 30000 with gufw on linux. Server is not setup on new Solus linux pc with a new cable modem from my ISP |

If the computer has a monitor and keyboard hooked up to it you could try pinging other machines on the network and see if it can ping any of them. |
