Jordach: Why don't you run a Linux machine and remotely connect to it from your Winbox? |
00:09 |
Jordach |
JohnnyComeL8ly, it's running on my second screen |
00:11 |
JohnnyComeL8ly |
I meant, why not get a separate hardware set (you probably have it) and run Linux on that in the way that I described. |
00:12 |
Jordach |
JohnnyComeL8ly, there are somethings i may need win for |

I tried installing a newer version, but I guess it was already the newest version. I booted into safe mode uninstalled the driver and rebooted on being prompted to do so, after the restart I installed the "newer" version, but I guess since the installer could handle multiple chipset driver installations that it had different versions for different chipsets and so it ended up installing the same version as before. |
03:27 |
JohnnyComeL8ly |
I guess if my driver is whacked, then I can't do anything to fix it, but if however, it is my hardware... well, then I can't even make the team on that one. You guys... have any more ideas? |

that's normal behavior of dropped items. |

nothing. it just means it's a dropped item. an entity you can pick up. |

All right. Seems weird. |

But if you "place" an object |

10:13 |

and I'd need default ore generatin support |
10:14 |

Krock, v6 doesn't have these, so no functionality is lost there |
10:14 |
Krock |
Calinou, right. |
10:14 |
nore |
and about worlds, perhaps some special file that is created at world creation |
10:14 |
Calinou |
also cave generation needs to be more interesting |
10:14 |
nore |
together with the version of mg used |
10:14 |
Calinou |
currently it seems to be mostly rays in the ground |
10:14 |

eased caves are interesting and look much more antural than the non-eased |

*Natural |
10:15 |
Calinou |
but it shouldn't be too slow ;) |
10:15 |
nore |
well, cave generation is actually the same as ores |
10:15 |
nore |
it air registered as an ore |
10:15 |
Krock |
lol |
10:15 |
Krock |
so, no gravel in caves? |
10:15 |
Calinou |
tweak the values? make more veins generate, but smaller ones |
10:15 |

Krock, randomly generate gravel, dirt using ores |
10:15 |

like I do in Carbone already |

10:16 |
nore |

10:16 |
nore |

10:17 |

they should turn more (if possible), be more common but less long |
10:17 |

perhaps some large-scale ones too |

(height seems OK) |
10:17 |

turn more: easy |

Hmmm - I've been playing with it a bit more. Apparently the reason direct3d8 crashes is because somebody forgot to compile it in. Also I made a reg file that speeds it up. Still crashes with an Access violation if there's an unknown block around though. |

is she dos attacking it? |
13:52 |

yes, it sends the "Hello world" message |
13:53 |
sfan5 |
twoelk: MinetestBot only test whether the protocol works |
13:55 |
twoelk |
so something at port 30000 is responding? |
13:57 |
sfan5 |
foobar is up == something speaking the basic minetest protocol is responding on that port |
13:59 |
twoelk |
so the server seems rather locked than down, or server running but world not responsive - whatever |
14:02 |
