paramat: Jun-12 19:19 UTC <IhrFussel> Stereo sounds *already* work with OpenAL just the fading is missing ... stereo sounds simply only play within the specified radius (max_hear_distance) and again IMO it can be useful to just lower the volume based purely on position distance |

is there a really a timing trick for swords, like spamming swords isn't as good as "timing your clicks"? |

Hehe, I'm the DeeJay in my classroom, me being me I put heavy metal on XD |
11:08 |

xerox123, without armor: use the punch interval given by the definition. usually that's about 0.8s |

this is on CTF, so spamming is just as good if not better as timing? |
11:09 |
Krock |
with armor, some damage rounding comes in, so there it's a bit more complicated to find the best timing |
11:09 |
Krock |
I always wait at least 0.5s but I seem to lose quite often :3 |
11:09 |
Krock |
maybe I should spam instead.. no idea actually |
11:20 |
ANAND |
Holding down the mouse button is noticeably more effective than "spamming" :) |

BillyS |
No, is CSS a programming language |
15:38 |
Fuchs |
well, technically it is Turin complete, so ... |
15:38 |
BillyS |
A hotdog is obviously not a sandwhich, and you just made me hungry |
15:38 |
BillyS |
*sandwich |
15:39 |
Amaz |
But what's the difference between a hotdog and a sausage sandwich? |
15:40 |
BillyS |
One uses a bun, the other bread |
15:40 |
Amaz |
But a sausage sandwich could be in a bun, surely? :P |
15:41 |
BillyS |
No, because then it wouldn't be a sandwich |
15:41 |
BillyS |
It would be a sausage in a bun |
15:41 |
paramat |
BillyS yes it does |
15:41 |
BillyS |
Ok, thx |
15:42 |
Krock |
hotdog mod anyone? |
15:43 |
BillyS |
Fine by me |
15:43 |
rdococ |
I wouldn't call CSS a programming language |
15:43 |
Amaz |
Nah, a sausage sandwich mod please Krock :P |
15:43 |
BillyS |
rdococ: You'd say the opposite of anything I say just becasue I said it |
15:44 |
Krock |
PowerPoint is a programming language. it's Turing complete too |
15:44 |
rdococ |
BillyS: I would not. CSS is used to specify a style for a webpage, not programs. |
15:44 |
Krock |
the x86 instruction is also turing complete :D |
15:44 |
Krock |
*x86 "mov" instruction |
15:44 |

Is it? How? |

To quote Wikipedia "A programming language is a formal language that specifies a set of instructions that can be used to produce various kinds of output." |
15:45 |
rdococ |
I guess you could memory-map the other operations, which would make "mov" TC. |
15:45 |
BillyS |
Thus, CSS is a programming language |
15:45 |
Krock |
rdococ, https://github.com/xoreaxeaxeax/movfuscator |
15:45 |
BillyS |
Heck, even URL is a programming language |
15:45 |
rdococ |
BillyS: CSS doesn't provide any output, it gives an appearance to websites. |
15:45 |
BillyS |
Actually, it does |
15:45 |
benrob0329 |
BillyS: "Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the presentation of a document written in a markup language like HTML.[1] CSS is a cornerstone technology of the World Wide Web, alongside HTML and JavaScript.[2]" |
15:46 |
BillyS |
It modifies a website; thats an output |
15:46 |
benrob0329 |
a language sure, but not for programming logic |
15:46 |
rdococ |
benrob0329 is correct. |
15:46 |
BillyS |
And besides, if I wrote a python program that didn't have output would you argue that it wasn't a program? |
15:46 |
benrob0329 |
yes |
15:46 |
Krock |
according to your definition are my cook book instructions also programming languages |
15:47 |
rdococ |
You're the one who brought up the "output" definition. |
15:47 |
benrob0329 |
a useless one anyways :P |
