<exe_virus> There's been several reports of the RAM usage issue for 5.9, not sure what causes it yet |

Juri: there's not much to say about it. Minetest is simply running out of RAM. |

it's not like we can see what is taking all the memory from the log data |

merging #15019, #15013, #15003, #15016 soon-ish |

<exe_virus> Sfan5 there likely is some sort of memory leak that is more prone to happen in 5.9. I have a mod set I've been provided and will be trying to hunt for such a leak. Not sure what could be the cause on obviously, but I'll be hunting:) |

<landarvargan> A player is joining and causing about 100+ of these per second. Completely freezing the server. Anything specific I should do to investigate? |

make a packet capture |

<landarvargan> Ah, this log shows up a lot alongside those errors, badplayerx is the player in question: ACTION[Server]: 'badplayerx' submitted formspec ('rules:rules') but server hasn't sent formspec to client, possible exploitation attempt |

<landarvargan> I'll try to get a packet dump, may take 24+ hours though, this player only joins once a day so far |
