correct, it has been removed by google because a company representing Microsoft/Mojang had issued a DMCA notice. The Minetest team has appealed the DMCA notice and we are awaiting the process right now. |

You see, it'd be nice to have like 9 different public "faces" to the Infinite Ikea server |
13:04 |

I want them all to lead to the same server to save computer |
13:05 |

So this involves proxy ports. How could i do this? |

It was built on a Linux box, I just used the Windows one for recording since it's easier. |
18:20 |
cheapie |
The GUI is just some touchscreens (from digistuff), the whole thing is digilines-based, one Luacontroller per group of elevators. |
18:21 |
cheapie |
It's the same as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jFcRWuGVj8w just refined a bit and a more in-depth demo video. |

cheapie: I assum on the way up they don't work? |
18:31 |
cheapie |
They do work on the way up, but not as reliably (lag can make you fall through) |
18:32 |
cheapie |
In singleplayer I haven't fallen through one yet, but on servers (this was a local server) it does happen at times. |
18:34 |
cheapie |
I have found a "hydraulic" design (with the movestone and such underground and moving the car via pushing/pulling a long pole) to be more reliable (and more compact, and a few other advantages) but then that brings in a rather low height limit as movestone can only push/pull so much. |
18:35 |
Desour |
have you tried using sticky blocks? |
18:36 |
cheapie |
To accomplish what, exactly? |
18:37 |
Desour |
nevermind, that won't help |
18:37 |
Desour |
why exactly do you get the low height limit with the pole? |
18:38 |
cheapie |
Movestone can only push a certain number of nodes at a time, IIRC 32 by default. |
18:39 |
Desour |
yes, but you can move the lower part of the pole up, so you don't need that many nodes |
18:40 |
Desour |
but I think I understand now what you did and see where the limit comes from |
18:47 |
cheapie |
Having the lower part move up into the hoistway seems.... unrealistic, but yeah, I suppose you /could/ do that. |
18:48 |
cheapie |
I might have to just try a movestone with a steel block or two on top, perhaps that might work without looking too strange. |
18:48 |
cheapie |
s/movestone/sticky &/ |
18:49 |
cheapie |
The "hydraulic" ones with the full-length pole look great though - the mese towers can be hidden completely underground, and since you can put one on the door side it's possible to put two cars next to each other with only a 1m gap instead of 3m. |
