hold up bigfoot547, let me take a look. i compile minetest on Debian Jessie |
00:35 |
lumberJ |
https://pastebin.com/4gtcLPDc |
00:35 |
lumberJ |
i believe these are the steps i use to compile |
00:35 |
lumberJ |
see if that looks different from what you did |
00:37 |
lumberJ |
yeah, that might be the issue |
00:37 |
lumberJ |
give that a try |
00:37 |
lumberJ |
i think i vaguely recall having a similar problem |
00:40 |
lumberJ |
make sure all the libs match up also |
00:40 |
lumberJ |
some are different for debian than the ones listed in the wiki for compiling |

is there a reproducible benchmark mode for minetest? I'd love to do some tuning work for raspberry pi's driver for it, but can't really do so without a reproducible benchmark. |
00:54 |
lumberJ |
new error, or the same bigfoot547 ? |
00:58 |
lumberJ |
hmm, and all the packages match up? |

jas_: wait you craft like 7 items at once, is there a key combination I don't know about |
10:46 |
jas_ |
it was a middle click |
10:47 |
jas_ |
for whatever reason, doing a middle click for 10 lags my network! |
10:47 |
jas_ |
i haven't really tested, but it's very annoying. |
10:47 |
jas_ |
so what you saw there was it lagging at 7 |
10:47 |
jas_ |
it does increment on a middle click, just usually too fast to notice |
10:47 |
jas_ |
unless you have this bug, then you definitely notice. |
10:48 |
jas_ |
oh you mean the buckets. yeah middle click is to craft ten at a time. |
10:49 |
jas_ |
or to take or drop ten at a time |
10:49 |
jas_ |
i think |
10:52 |
jluc |
'dark' jas_ |
10:53 |
jas_ |
originally i only lowered the pitch, it was even darker. then i added 1.0 to any sound with pitch < 0.5 so that livened it up. gotta fix that volume in gen_music. |
10:56 |
jas_ |
it's actually lowered, nevermind. i want to make it more general, so that one would only need to tweak a few variables |

daft question time, has anyone doing MT modding ever practically encountered the supposed 260-char *full path* limit in windows OSes? |

then modname, then files within there |
15:41 |

it occured to me that a java-like folder structure (like "com.foo ...") might hit this limit a bit too fast |

Is there any way to use non-standart latin symbols on minetest.chat_send_all() ? |
16:34 |

cyrillic symbols for example |
16:34 |

with unicode text files, you can just paste them in |
