hey, with tubes and filters.. |
01:31 |
blaise |
how do I keep the filters active? |
01:31 |
blaise |
or do I even need a filter? |
01:32 |
VanessaE |
depends what you're using them for |
01:32 |
blaise |
I'm smelting iron lumps into steel |
01:32 |
blaise |
from a box, into a box |
01:32 |
VanessaE |
pulling from a chest/furnace? |
01:33 |
VanessaE |
ok |
01:33 |
VanessaE |
use a blinky plant |
01:33 |
blaise |
with a furnace |
01:33 |
blaise |
blinky plant? |
01:33 |
VanessaE |
or build a clock circuit with a delayer and inverter. |
01:33 |
VanessaE |
yes. |
01:33 |
VanessaE |
filters respond to mesecons signals |
01:34 |
VanessaE |
(as do pumps, deployers, nodebreakers, wielders; sensor tubes and pipes emit them) |
01:35 |
blaise |
what is a blinky plant |
01:36 |
blaise |
and, Is it possible to generate electricity with technik and a body of water flowing into a cave? |
01:50 |
|
RealBadAngel joined #minetest |

VanessaE |
yes, there's a water turbine in technic for that |
01:50 |
RealBadAngel |
hi |
01:50 |
VanessaE |
and a blinky plant is a component in mesecons |
01:51 |
VanessaE |
it produces a periodic high-low signal |
01:51 |
VanessaE |
hey RealBadAngel |
01:51 |

Hi folks, need a little help with dropping items in LUA... When I drop using minetest.item_drop or obj:remove() it works with normal objects in your inventory fine, but tools always drop with FULL health... any idea how to stop this happening ???? |
17:05 |
Jordach |
TenPlus1, you need to pass tool data (which is health) |
17:05 |
Calinou |
if a tool is wounded, apply a band-aid to it. |
17:06 |
TenPlus1 |
how do I apply tool data to minetest.item_drop or obj:remove() |
17:07 |
PenguinDad |
Since when can you drop items using obj:remove() o_O |
17:08 |
TenPlus1 |
that's how dropondie works... obj = item reference and obj:remove() tosses it from your inventory |
17:08 |
TenPlus1 |
I tried both methods |
17:09 |
TenPlus1 |
I assumed that minetest.drop_item worked like pressing Q and would drop an item with health in tact... |

as for mods and games… I guess you should add [[Category:Mod]] to every mod page |

[[Category:Game]] for game pages |

I'm trying to figure out a set of mods to roughly duplicate Minecraft's IndustrialCraft, redpower, and computercraft functionality. The closest I've found so far is Technic, but it's still missing quite a bit of stuff... The hard part is finding ones that play nicely with each other. |

Flipsels, I created a new subcategory under Games for LOTT (details may change), you can collect the game content there, but you should also link from the article somehow. Maybe via some contentlist. |

you could add new nodes under eg. panel definitions |

Hi OldCoder. I was wondering if it would be possible to get a copy of the map from MineRealms. I have a few builds I would like to get. |
23:15 |
Sokomine |
batman: can you elaborate what you have in mind? usually the position markers from worldedit are the admin tool |
23:15 |
Sokomine |
batman: the markers are merely a tool for players without worldedit priv to mark something |
23:28 |
Batman |
Sokomine we want to use markers to set areas for players just to make it easier for moderators |
23:28 |
Batman |
If it is not possible that is no problem. It was just a thought |
23:33 |
Sokomine |
batman: do you mean that you want to mark and set up pre-defined areas and later on assign them to players? like plots for building on? |
23:34 |
Sokomine |
you can do that and later on add players as sub-owners of the marked area |
23:39 |
Batman |
Sokomine: I am not sure how to change later. Can you point me to the info on that? |

i've modified it a bit so that it solves per world. help me to persuade sfan5 to ensure that his modification gets into the official built |
23:51 |
Sokomine |
batman: enjoy your supper :-) and then, craft one of the marker sticks (those white-red-ones) over a cobblestone block. that'll give you a special block that allows you to do several things with your marked area - amongst them adding and changing owner. it has a menu |
