07:38 ANAND Does anyone know what setting causes the sides of the screen to darken? I don't remember fiddling with the settings recently...
07:39 ANAND I've tried turning the shaders off, but it still persists. Perhaps it's not related to shaders at all?
07:41 Krock It's definitely a shader setting that creates the focus effect
07:43 ANAND Weird. I toggled individual shader options, and the shader master switch. None of them seemed to be getting rid of the effect.

09:19 rubenwardy Normals say which way a face is facing. Normal maps are used to vary the normals to add more detail to the faces. Normals are commonly used in light shading
09:20 rubenwardy There should be no difference in rendering if you have normal maps enabled but no normal maps - generated or supplied
