14:55 Desour https://dev.minetest.net/Meetings says "Only core devs should edit this page.", but the newest history entries are from Zughy (not a core dev, afaik). as of <https://irc.minetest.net/minetest-dev/2022-08-15#i_6007295>, I wouldn't say anything if it was just edits to add an empty template for the new meeting, but the edits also added topics to be discussed. What's worse is that the topic descriptions include highly subjective (or "wrong") wording, i.e.
14:55 Desour Zughy's suggested scale change in #12145 being "slight" (see PR discussion for details)
14:55 ShadowBot https://github.com/minetest/minetest/issues/12145 -- Doc of `set_sun`/-`moon`: Absolute orientation and difference in scale by Desour
16:20 celeron55 Zughy is currently trusted to do some managerial tasks. if core devs complain, this will of course change. but you're correct it's not currently written down
16:21 celeron55 maybe in this situation the meeting agenda should be marked with who added each item
16:21 celeron55 or proposed
16:25 Zughy[m] here we go again with the moon/sun/whatever discussion
16:27 Zughy[m] around 25% is slight to me, but I think core devs are smart enough to not take my word for granted and express their own opinion. Also I won't be here tomorrow for the meeting, so there's no change I can push for my "agenda"
16:27 Zughy[m] *push my
16:30 celeron55 i like it that the community steps up to keep is in check 8)
16:31 Zughy[m] considered what we discussed a few days ago, I thought I could edit meeting points, also because before me there wasn't really a core team, just core devs. So using a deprecated description to prove something doesn't really make sense...?
16:32 Zughy[m] I found some pretty easy (yet annoying) PRs to get rid of, so as triager I thought to put them there so they can decide and we can leave them behind once and for all
16:33 celeron55 it makes sense to me

17:11 MTDiscord <Biggus Dickus> Why does minetest/src/irrlicht_changes/ still exist? Can we just integrate it into our irrlicht fork?
17:15 MTDiscord <ROllerozxa> same reason irrlichtmt still exists
17:15 MTDiscord <savilli> And what is the reason?
17:23 MTDiscord <luatic> It should be integrated into our fork eventually
17:32 MTDiscord <savilli> Who is responsible for that? What will happen if I make a PR that integrates the changes?
17:34 MTDiscord <luatic> PR hell will happen most probably
17:34 MTDiscord <savilli> We're already in PR hell XD
17:50 MTDiscord <Jonathon> given sfan5 does like 98 percent of irrlicht work, bribe them
17:53 MTDiscord <luatic> given sfan5 doesn't seem to be accepting money, that won't work
17:54 MTDiscord <Jonathon> bribe doesnt always have to be money
17:57 Desour *sends cake per mail*
18:00 MTDiscord <Jonathon> the obvious thing would be to become a core dev, and do reviews, given they have asked for a list of one approval prs, or not wanting things to take 2 weeks. course then that gets you into an ongoing commitment
18:05 MTDiscord <savilli> Oh yes, the classic way: - Becomes a core dev - Merges their own PRs - Refuses to elaborate further  - Leaves
18:06 MTDiscord <savilli> Maybe it explains why there are so many ex core devs ?
19:19 Zughy[m] actually, 17 one approval PRs with 79 open PRs is a record. Also, there is a meeting tomorrow, PRs are more likely to go down. Remember the time when PR hell meant 150+ PRs with contributors being ignored for months, or even years? I do, and we're not there anymore
19:48 MTDiscord <luatic> Yes. Actually looking at the project stats, more PRs have lately been closed than were opened. If this is kept up we'll ultimately get out of PR hell.
