21:24 pgimeno these symptoms look a lot like a problem I reported quite some time ago. Initially I thought it was something wrong with my patch here: https://notabug.org/pgimeno/minetest/pulls/5 (the one I mention in the first paragraph about switching arms)

23:36 pgimeno yeah, the Irrlicht bu is exactly that. IBoneSceneNode derives from ISceneNode, not from IDummyTransformationSceneNode. That means it operates in Eulers, not in matrix form, and Eulers have these kinds of problems.
