19:48 paramat it can't use a global texture, that would break texture packs and force the authors to create 128x128 textures. also see the many other reasons why it is very unsuitable for MTG in the thread

20:29 Shara I'm very undecided about global textures. I like that they are an option now, but I've always preferred the missing nodes approach instead (like tumeni commented on in one of the threads)
