Ok, I think I have come up with a solution which seems to produce correct results (totally dark everywhere except where there are lightsource nodes): step 1, set all light in overgenerated VM region to 0 "vm:set_light_data(vm_light)", step 2, do vm:calc_lighting({x=emin.x, y=emin.y, z=emin.z}, {x=emax.x, y=maxp.y, z=emax.z}, true) [note the use of |

maxp instead of emax in the second position], then step 3, do vm:write_to_map(). |

The point of step 2 is to calculate lighting in the whole voxel area *except* the 16-node-high overgenerated region on top of everything. Light there should remain 0 until the mapgen chunk *above* it gets generated. |

1. Install element and register an account at tchncs.de or some other server |
02:55 |

2. Join #minetest through the Minetest space listed on Minetest.net |

Alternatively I find Konversation works fine as a no-frills GUI IRC client though nickname registration is a bunch of /commands and you have to check the logs at irc.minetest.net or leave your client on 24/7.. Matrix gives you scrollback |

Yes element matrix gives you a big ol' scroll back but I'm still not sure how this protocol works, it's a mystery how it's decentralized yet there's a scrollback when I log in |

AFAIK your homeserver just acts as a 24/7 IRC bouncer |
09:34 |
Parnikkapore_m |
which is possible because Matrix is federated, similar to Fedi / email |

Apart from minetest being able to spawn multiple lua threads :) |

hello. Someone knows what is the status of Minetest on Android, I remember there was a legal issue, was it resolved? Found a familiar app called Rollertest, any links? |
