Looks like there are now at least 50 LTC-4000 installations in all of Minetest. |
00:04 |
cheapie |
2 of which aren't even owned by me :P |
00:04 |

What I still haven't seen, unfortunately, is any attempt by anyone else to write their own traffic light controller. |

just wondering, what is the speed benefit to the "save the map" option? |
11:15 |
redblade |
is it a lot better or only a little? |
11:23 |
amadin |
redblade Did you mean enable_local_map_saving? |
11:24 |
redblade |
yes that |
11:24 |
redblade |
in the config and the advanced options of the client |
11:25 |
redblade |
it saves an sql file |
11:25 |
amadin |
enable_local_map_saving allow save map (world) on you computer |
11:25 |
amadin |
you can connect to any server ans save server map to your pc |
11:26 |

but it save only visited by you area |

does it provide any sort of caching though? |

redblade |
for the next time you connect? |
11:28 |
amadin |
no |
11:29 |
redblade |
and what happens if you use the map offline, but online it has changed? |
11:30 |
redblade |
like if someone builds something in the same area you built there offline |
11:30 |
amadin |
nothing |
11:30 |
amadin |
this is different maps |
11:31 |
redblade |
multiple maps for each time you log on to a server? |
11:31 |
amadin |
it just local copy, like others world in world directory |
11:32 |
amadin |
then you connect to remote server game use ONLY remote map |
11:32 |
amadin |
always |
11:36 |
redblade |
i mean, if you play the offline map yourself, but you connect to the server again, does the server overwrite your offline map? |
11:36 |
redblade |
s/overwrite/override |
11:36 |
amadin |
no |
11:36 |
redblade |
for example, if you go online and build a home, then play offline, then you log on and someone else has built a home there, what happens when you play offline next time? |
11:37 |
amadin |
online and offline map is a two different maps |

hi, did someone experienced strange mapgen with snow mod? i.e. an already mapgenerated area gets mountains and snow from nothing |
18:01 |

leveldb as backend? |

probably sqlite |
18:02 |

the builds are like eaten by the mountains |

I had the same problem on a Windows server I had a few months |

Krock |

some kind of bug of snow mod? |
18:03 |
Krock |
some people never have problems with the terrain re-generation and others can't seem to find the cause for it. it's somewhat strange |
18:05 |
Volkj |
can't find a workaround outside of building far from the area, however a mixed desert/grass biome became snow/mountainous so one find out only when the mountains starts to eat builds |
18:06 |
Krock |
I assume you're using MGv6, right? |

the way without MTB: Use Ctrl + F on http://servers.minetest.net/list and look what server's description is |
18:18 |

I've looked up the MTB repo and didn't find any command for that, fireglow |

is there a way to check consistency of map outside a fsck of the filesystem to search errors? |

maybe it's generally caused by mods that generate into unknown area - I had moretrees instelled |

iirc snow mod was installed when the game was already running so not at the start of the world, and i could get the first mapgen over an already existent map area. Still don't get the second one in the same area, bugs are strange |

and using the a nightly 0.4.14-dev build wouldn't fix it, I think :/ |

I have brewing stand for 3 bottles (3 slots), now if you put 1 or 2 or 3 bottles in brewing stand then will do swap_node with one another node. Need for 1 or 2 or 3 bottles in brewing stand do swap_node with different nodes, if 1 bottle in brewing stand then swap node_1, if 2 bottles then swap node_2, if 3 bottles then swap node_3. So how many bottles in brewing stand as many displayed on the node (model). |

I have not found but still ask just in case |
18:57 |

Thank you for code |
18:57 |

you will most likely never find a clone of a MC mod because the modders use restricted licenses on their work |
18:58 |
Krock |
so nobody will be able to use the graphics without a license change from the author |

Krock |
which never will happen |
18:59 |
Amadin |
graphics may be changed, i mean technical clone but not visual |
19:00 |

there's no MC Java mod to MT Lua mod converter, so each mod was written from scratch. There are no clones. with that - bai. |
