That's what proprietary can produce ;) I'm trying to figure which bits are actual gameplay and which are animation. If it's all actual gameplay then yah, what Jordach said x1000 |

Jordach we can do this if we have a base good texture pack, i really like the color panel choose in this video, it's very proper |

minetest_game is too rough and old school |

with such colors it's nice |

nerzhul, there are tons of Minecraft texture packs out there, some of them could have a compatible license, why not use that for MTG? |

i'm not a mtg coredev, but really i think a good texture pack which is similar to that game make it more attractive than our rough one |
08:38 |
Unarelith |
I can't agree more |
08:39 |

maybe we can try to make it more attractive for 5.0.0 |
08:39 |

use HDX ;) |

an old friend of mine did a good texture pack |
08:39 |

could be great for 5.0.0 |
08:39 |

VanessaE the problem is not the resolution, but with 16x16 and a such color palette you can do nice things |

8x8 is a little bit too limited in terms of precision i think |

Hello there^^ I kinda doubt that a EULA is enough on a server to be allowed to allow 18+ content -> https://forum.minetest.net/viewtopic.php?p=338005#p338005 ... I mean legally |

IhrFussel: there are websites with 18+ content that don't ask for age or anything... |
13:37 |

BuckarooBanzai, those are run by large companies that can likely defend themselves when a lawsuit flies into their office ... I wouldn't risk that as private person |

i think as long as the content is still "legal" (18+ or not) there should be no issue... |

Didn't the devs once say they support no "sex servers" in the list? Or maybe that has changed |
13:51 |

If a server is 18+ you can be sure that sex is one of the very first things that happen there |
13:52 |
IcyDiamond |
Sex servers lmfao |
13:53 |
IhrFussel |
I guess a "no rules" server is accepted in the list which means everything is allowed there, but the server owner is still liable for illegal activities...not sure if they realize that |

jas_ |

MinetestSam |
Hah no |
14:01 |
jas_ |
"no, it's better you just stay there" |
14:02 |
jas_ |
basically rules are good but too strict enforcement or application isn't, i think |
14:04 |
jas_ |
i dunno, guess it all depends. operating MT servers has always been a sticky subject, but i figured that goes with any multiplayer game |
14:05 |
jas_ |
guess it really boils down to, what's the game they're playing? is it a social game? is it a "multiplayer" game? if the focus is building, or capturing the flag, you can narrow all focus there |
14:06 |
jas_ |
but if it's just build and hang out, and chat and be social, then perhaps the rules are more challenging to create there? |
14:12 |
jas_ |
i don't like to make them because as soon as they're made, they're sorta made to break in some people's eyes. |
14:12 |
jas_ |
but it also saddens me that you have to remind people to "follow the law" or "be respectful" |

IhrFussel: what rule did you enforce? |
17:02 |
IhrFussel |
The rule was "no alternative accounts allowed" and the offending person created TWO at the same time and was online with BOTH... so I banned the alts and gave the original user a temp ban |
17:03 |
rdococ |
do you know why they created those alt accounts and try to play with both at the same time? seems unusual for them to do that for no reason |
17:04 |
IhrFussel |
To circumvent protection limits probably... but that was a bad idea...they could've instead asked me for more protection slots |
17:04 |
IhrFussel |
The alts were also too obvious cause they added just 1 'E' for the 1st alt and 2 'E' for the 2nd alt account |
17:04 |
rdococ |
ah |
17:05 |

I'm known as "one of the softest server owners in the entire list" so it's a bit funny to be called that |
17:08 |
rubenwardy |
have you considered that they may be sibling? |
17:08 |
IhrFussel |
Why would siblings name themselves all the same except adding another 'E' ? And why would the siblings be idle while just 1 account is moving? |
17:09 |
IhrFussel |
Yes I can track people's movement ingame which is necessary sometimes |
17:10 |
IhrFussel |
Nothing personal about virtual movement |

I know that it's very difficult to enforce such a "only 1 account per person" rule, but I try my best... the gameplay on my server would partially break if players could create and use multiple accounts ... since I have a level system and a party system you can maybe guess at least one BIG issue |
17:14 |
jas_ |
could have them register their account somehow? |
17:16 |
jas_ |
the bigger issue may be that he had to make more. is it so hard to get extra space to protect? |
17:17 |
jas_ |
i see what you mean by the party issue, tho. i don't know the mechanics, but, sorry to hear that. |
17:18 |
