who's the current expert regarding formspecs? i'd really love https://github.com/minetest/minetest/issues/8718 to get implemented. my own knowledge about guis is too limited (i hardly use them), and the formspec code didn't seem easy to gasp fast |

turning too long cells into multiple lines might help on the drawing side - figure out how many "lines" needed and just insert them - but would also need changes regarding highlighting/selection and actually evaluating what has been selected |
