00:02 lhofhansl Hi all... Do we need separate max_block_send_distance and max_block_generate_distance? Are there legitimate reasons for not setting those to identical values? (I'm looking to simplify all the settings we have, and this seems a good one to start). It also came up on #6539

02:22 lhofhansl another RFQ: Currently ABMs (including mobs) are limited to a fairly low range since they are computationally expensive.
02:23 lhofhansl We could increase the distance if we limit the work done a player's view cone. Would be weird on some level (ABMs not run behind the player for example).
