02:19 hmmmm so, not writing CONTENT_IGNORE back to blocks works fine but it doesn't fix the case where an already existing cave gets overwritten by a newly generated block

02:45 hmmmm except that 'solution' isn't going to work with the multithreaded mapgen, since it's up to the cavegen to choose whether or not to place that node, and it'll have an outdated version of the block and think that everything's content ignore and it's free to write whatever it wants to
