When I first created my server, v6 was the default. I would like to change it to v7. 04:39 AntumDeluge I guess I shouldn't say that I know for sure my server is using v6. 'mg_name' is commented out in 'minetest.conf'. But, I'm pretty sure v6 was default when I first created it. 04:39 AntumDeluge Server log doesn't tell me which mapgen version is enabled either. 06:28 MinetestBot 02[git] 04nerzhul -> 03minetest/minetest: LBM: use range based for and fixed a loop variable overloading in app… 13befc3bb https://git.io/v7L8z (152017-07-24T06:26:19Z) 08:35 hisforever Hi Need help with Advanced Trains http://imgur.com/a/F1DOF , making a train round house. The normal approach with minetest.set_node and meta:from_table fails because node callbacks (on_destruct, on_construct, etc.) are called before the metadata are set. I tried minetest.swap_node but I'm unable to manualy trigger callbacks, do you know if it's possible from a mod? 15:30 sfan5 you can always manually call those 15:31 sfan5 minetest.registered_nodes["node:name"].on_construct(...) 15:48 Wuzzy Did the period recently got added to the list of allowed player name characters? 15:48 Wuzzy Or am I just halluzinating? 15:48 riff-IRC why wouldn't it be added to the list of PN chars? 15:49 riff-IRC it's a valid, nearly generic ASCII full stop. 15:49 Wuzzy well 15:49 Wuzzy last time i checked, only these chars are allowed: a-zA-Z0-9_- 15:50 Wuzzy so not even space 15:50 riff-IRC OOOOOOO_ooooooo 15:51 Wuzzy in MT 0.4.16 i know the period is forbidden 15:51 Wuzzy not sure about -dev 15:51 riff-IRC would it be forbidden? 15:53 riff-IRC *why would 16:02 Wuzzy i dont know 16:04 kaos_ @sfan5, thank you! 16:05 MinetestBot 02[git] 04bendeutsch -> 03minetest/minetest: Clouds API: change speed from 'y' to 'z', ColorSpecs in Lua docs (#6164) 13c50a57c https://git.io/v7tgB (152017-07-24T16:04:00Z) 18:59 salahzar I just installed a server 0.4.15 on ubuntu, it's not clear to me how to install mods. It seems that mods are to be copied on /usr/share/minetest but it seems the minetest --server is not picking there neither on ~/.minetest/mods ... 19:00 sfan5 you need to enable mods for each world individually, did you do that? 19:01 salahzar which file to be modified? 19:02 sfan5 world.mt 19:03 salahzar ah it seems working. :) Thanks and sorry for the newbie question. 19:04 Krock hint: there's 0.4.16 19:04 salahzar ah yes I was using 0.4.16 was typing erroneously before 19:04 salahzar sorry
