00:08 MTDiscord <luatic> my rationale for GFM is pretty simple: it's a well-established standard (pandoc for example supports it), i'm used to it, the rest of the team should be used to it, it has a couple nice features like tables. for the most part our usage will be very similar to commonmark though.
03:57 MTDiscord <benrob0329> If there is a better table extension for Pandoc I'd recommend that over GFM's ascii art tables, something that doesn't require you to align things and just lets you structure the data (like HTML tables, which to be fair could just be used if need be)
