16:10 sfan5 to whoever thought it was a good idea to pass functions as paramters in the mainmenu async stuff: it's not
16:54 Desour I noticed something interesting: pause minetest and leave it in the background. after some minutes, my pc becomes slow (e.g. scrolling up and down in webpage in firefox is laggy), and my pc smells smoky. cpu untilization is low though. maybe it's something in the kernel? then when I unpause minetest, it takes much cpu for some seconds, and the issue dissappears
16:55 Desour I'll probably try to get more information and open an issue later (maybe days later)

17:22 jonadab sfan5: I'm pretty sure I've found bugs older than that, in the NetHack codebase.  (At the time, the _latest release_ had been out for more than seven years, and was using the Cathedral model, so I didn't have access to anything more up to date.  Both of which are no longer true.)
18:05 MTDiscord <luatic> Desour: RAM usage is constant?
18:13 ROllerozxa Thoughts on doing https://github.com/minetest/minetest/issues/15387 before 5.10.0 is released so we can improve the appearance of the F-Droid listing?

20:33 [ jonadab: I think I found a 20 year old bug in nethack (it was in the splittable #adjust code which was added in 2004, although I'm not entirely sure it was present in the original version)
