I won't be doing that, will leave it to other devs to decide how they want to approach this |

uh, before #11827 is merged I really need to know if it breaks CSM inventory stuff or not |

16:28 |
sfan5 |
well what exactly is "CSM inventory stuff"? |
16:32 |
sfan5 |
if you want the callback to run even if the server has disabled the inventory then you need to move the check |
16:32 |
ROllerozxa |
the CSM inventory key callback SmallJoker was talking about |

but other than that there's no effects |

<Warr1024> Does a blank inventory trigger the inventory "quit" submission immediately like closing a non-blank one? That would at least be a cheap way to keep the protocols similar but then allow the inventory key to be used as a custom binding on the server side. |
17:54 |
Krock |
there's no formspec opened to listen to a close event, hence it's never closed. "quit" is missing. |
17:55 |
Krock |
feel free to submit a new issue |

Krock |
note that this is for CSM only, anyway. |

<Warr1024> I would like to be able to detect when a user opens the inventory server-side. I think there are already issues for it, though of course no consensus on how it should work. I only noticed that this was a good complement to such a thing, and would be a nice way to sneak in something usable and skip the bikeshedding ? |
17:59 |

<Warr1024> This particular change is probably good as it is already though. |

quick question, would anyone disagree with dropping gcc-4 support? |

oh and clang < 3.9 too, it's close to impossible to actually verify if it works |
