I also don't know whether its possible to liberate one language, while keeping the other language guarded by trusted contributors. Best to talk with weblate's core dev about this, he is also the admin of the translator service. However, as I manually review the translations with an automated translator, obvious vandalism shouldnt get in, but i cant guarantee. Perhaps a 23:15 est31 system with a whitelist managed by the core devs might be an idea, but if you encounter bad translators the best thing to do right now is to complain about them here, then i can filter out their contributions next time i merge all the contributions if I remember.
