01:37 octacian sfan5: it was you who made/modified MinetestBot, right?
01:38 octacian Anyways, how does ShadowBot work on -dev to show PR info?

02:29 ShadowNinja octacian: Something like this: ,,(mp list #minetest-dev) ,,(mp show #minetest-dev --id 6)
02:29 ShadowBot ShadowNinja: #4: (?:^| )web#([0-9]+)\b,#5: (?:^| )game#([0-9]+)\b,#6: (?:^| )#([0-9]+)\b
02:29 ShadowBot ShadowNinja: The action for regexp trigger "(?:^| )#([0-9]+)\b" is "issue_msg https://github.com/minetest/minetest/issues/$1"
02:30 octacian So how would I use it in my own IRC network?
02:30 octacian I've essentially just downloaded sfan5's fork of phenny.
02:31 redblade7 where is papyrus/bamboo usually found again?
02:32 redblade7 i thought it was in deserts near the sea
02:32 redblade7 but i might be wrong
02:33 ShadowNinja octacian: SB is based on Limnoria, MB is based on pheny.  They both have a few custom plugins but you probably won't need to do that unless you want special commands (and Limnoria provides some stuff so you don't have to write a whole plugin for a bunch of simple stuff, eg the issue/pr number thing uses just the MessageParser and Aka plugins).
02:34 octacian OK. So where can a D/L / setup SB?

02:36 octacian OK. So where do I download SB itself? (not just Limnoria)
02:37 ShadowNinja octacian: I published some of the stuff under my github account in the Limnoria-plugins repo, but the configuration files and databases aren't public.
02:37 octacian Links?
02:37 octacian Wait.. so ShadowBot is named after you? :P
02:38 ShadowNinja Yes.  And you can find the repo in my GitHub, same username.
02:39 octacian OK
02:39 octacian I may have more questions, but after I finish eating :D
02:47 redblade7 come on, i forgot, and have been looking everywhere
02:47 redblade7 what biome do they grow usually?

02:54 redblade7 actually i have it listed at 1054 and on a savanna shore
02:55 kaeza my copy of MTG may be outdated
02:59 redblade7 my two servers are both 0.4.15
03:00 redblade7 though one uses v6 and the other velleys (no v7
03:00 redblade7 is there going to be a v8 introduced with 0.4.16, or was v7 the new one?

10:02 Snark VanessaE: licenses and copyright assignments must still be correct to enter a distribution
10:02 VanessaE Snark: translation: I assume you got it right. :)
10:03 Snark I now have two packages almost ready (unifieddyes and homedecor)
10:03 VanessaE I should probably tag HD, also.
10:03 Snark they lack testing -- and that's work for the kids!
10:03 Snark VanessaE: it's already tagged
10:03 Snark at least there's a 0.4.15
10:03 VanessaE no
10:03 VanessaE don't use that one unless you use the 0.4.15 tag in UD also
10:04 VanessaE the two aren't compatible.
10:04 Snark oh, the 0.4.15 aren't compatible between ud and hd ?!
10:05 VanessaE as long as both are from 0.4.15 it's fine
10:05 VanessaE but if you go newer on one, you have to go newer on the other too
10:05 VanessaE there, HD tagged for today's date
10:05 Snark VanessaE: I prefer using the tags corresponding to minetest releases
10:05 Snark since that's what is in Debian
10:06 VanessaE ok, then just use the two 0.4.15 tags.
10:06 VanessaE should be fine then

13:37 PureTryOut[m] so is it not possible to rotate a node without using param2 for storing the rotation?

15:21 PureTryOut[m] I wonder why they don't just call it `rotation` :p why use one parameter for multiple types of values?
15:22 o232k left #minetest
15:38 agaran PureTryOut[m]: well because you -send- those params with every mapblock update so far.. also store them in world db
15:39 agaran having separate fields would simplify but also would grow size of db/transfer blocks
15:39 proller joined #minetest
15:42 PureTryOut[m] ooh yeah ok makes sense
15:42 PureTryOut[m] "keep it as lightweight as possible"
15:42 PureTryOut[m] still, having "meshoptions" seperated from "facedir" would be nice :p
15:43 agaran problem probably was where to draw line
15:43 agaran I would be glad if param/param2 could have same set of things, and you could pick what you get there, still that means only 2 parameters at moment
15:52 PureTryOut[m] well that would be better already.
15:52 PureTryOut[m] I only need it to have 2 parameters, but sadly both are required to be in param2 :/
15:52 agaran you always can make patch..
