08:50 tim_flatus Today I am mostly working on a straw bale / cob mod. This may involve modding wheat to drop straw bales as well as wheat. AFAICS you can't have by-products from a crafting process.

09:30 tim_flatus D'oh! Of course you can have crafting byproducts - 'replacements'. So either I make wheat drop 1/4 straw to 'wheat' OR crafting flour returns 1 straw_bale for each bag of flour. The former would be more realistic. Comments welcome, but I guess I'm kind of on my own with this. :D

09:35 tim_flatus crazyR: the fact that mt runs on really low-end hardware can lull you into a false sense of security. A medium to large world with a few players on it will push the envelope a bit.

09:45 crazyR lol, tbh my world is verry small, theres about 5-6 small sized buildings on there. been running for a few days only, but was getting an influx or errors. some were software related/game related but a few that worried me were hardware related. better doing it now than in 2-3 months time whenthe world has picked up momentum lol
