17:15 tenplus1    surprisingly it's not... I installed nvidia blob on Kubuntu and it used 300mb just to run, and 2d(desktop) fx were laggy but 3d was fast

17:17 benrob0329  I will be buying an AMD card in the future though, because Nvidia is, quite frankly, toxic in the Linux community with the way they support things.

17:18 tenplus1    +1000 for AMD...  nvidia may do good hardware but there drivers are crappy now, soo much memory used just to run

17:21 tenplus1    the intel 915 was supposidly the worst you coudl have for linux suport, but my old laptop and Lubuntu work3ed great on it :D
