02:19 VanessaE curious. why -- when NOT flying, have "J" to turn fast on/off, when you ALSO have to hold "E" to actually fast-run?

02:24 cheapie ^ maybe even better: have one key (the one that defaults to E) use fast as long as the player has the right privs (no toggle to enable/disable this) and another key (the one that defaults to J) act like a toggle that holds down E instead.
02:25 cheapie So holding E would make you run (or fly fast) with no need for J to be pressed, while pressing J would make you run/fly fast (without holding E) until you press J again.

08:56 ANAND E is aux1, and is used for a ton of other things apart fom sprint, and setting J to toggle this key will result in unexpected consequences. ;)

17:22 VanessaE that would also allow the player to bind "fast lock" to some other key, or to none at all, effectively getting rid of a useless (to them) keybinding.
17:23 VanessaE as for E being aux1, I have yet to run into a mod that uses it for something other than run or down/descend.
